May 21 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pmFree
The May meeting is devoted to Service!!! Please note that we will not be collecting quilts until the quilt show setup on June 24. If you have tops that need quilting, please give them to me at the May meeting and I will try to get them back to you by beginning of June.
I have invited the Hospice representatives and Augusta Health to come speak to us at the meeting. So far, I have heard back from two of them. After the meeting, I invite you to stay as we work on Hospice quilts. You can help cut out kits (bring rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat) or sew on Hospice quilts (bring sewing machine, extension cord, etc.) I will bring fabric coordinates if you do not currently have a project you are working on. This is also a great time to find out how to make the pillow/totes for Breast Cancer and the patriotic pillowcases. Written instructions can sometimes be hard to understand.
If you are new to the group, this is a great opportunity to get to meet other members in the guild. I will have food to get us thru the lunch time. We have had so few opportunities to get together in person to sew so this should be a lot of fun. If you have any questions, you call email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call my cell at 540-974-9782.
Got the pedal to the floor sewing for Service!
